Born in Nottingham in 1970, and returning there after spending 5 years in Canada,
Richard Cosgrove, a lifelong devotee of cinema, picked up a camera several years
ago and began to capture people and places that were not merely two dimensional
renderings of what he saw, but which suggested that there was more going on than
met the eye. Not just photographs, his images are more like stills from the movie
that we call life.

Black and white is his preferred medium, but he is equally adept at capturing the
world and its' people in all their technicolour glory.
