Located just to the west of Cambridge is a unique burial ground.
Run by a Christian charity called the Arbory Trust it eschews
traditional headstones and permanent monuments in favour of
organic markers that will, in time, be absorbed into the earth
and become part of the woodland burial ground.
These pictures were taken on a windy Sunday in February 2007.
My partner and I were the only people there that afternoon
which lent the shoot an air of surrealism and tranquility.
