Hunstanton-by-the-Sea is a sleepy little town on the East Anglian coast of
England that has retained the charm and romance of the heyday of the great
British seaside resort. In past decades, before the advent of cheap air travel
and package holidays the coast was the place to be seen on your summer holiday.

I visited there in May 2006, the week before the British May Bank Holiday,
at which point the coast is flooded with hordes of families, but for the few days
I was there Hunstanton was devoid of people, and thus tranquil and peaceful.
